Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Level I Trauma experience required - Travel experience required - Large hospital experience required Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in step down care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Registered nurses will participate in team nursing with a patient ratio of 1:6/7. Candidates must be equipped to handle diverse patient populations. The unit cares for patients requiring close monitoring for cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Responsibilities include the delivery of high-quality care and participation in process improvements. A strong background in telemetry and IV skills is essential. Candidates should be open to working weekends as needed. Floating to similar units may be required. This role does not accommodate block scheduling. RTO must be included at the time of submission. Availability to work during major holidays is expected.
