Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,066 per week in Asheville, NC

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule: 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, no call required

• 40-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit specializing in cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patients
• Care for complex patients including open heart surgery, TAVR, thoracic procedures, and vascular interventions
• Work in a Magnet-designated, top 1% nationally ranked hospital with Level II trauma center
• Utilize Cerner EMR with advanced equipment including Baxter IV pumps and CADD epidural pumps
• Manage cardiac drips, epidurals, chest tubes, and post-operative cardiovascular surgical patients
• Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurses, PCTs, and unit coordinators

• Current RN license in North Carolina (or compact state license)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Stepdown nursing experience required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Prior cardiovascular surgery or vascular surgery population experience within the past year strongly preferred
• CVICU experience preferred
• Competency in managing cardiac drips, epidurals, chest tubes, and tube feedings
• Flexibility to float to other stepdown or medical-surgical units as needed
