Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: Must-Have: BLS, Medical Telemetry Description: The position requires a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. This is a 36-bed unit primarily focusing on telemetry monitoring. The team consists of multiple staff members, including charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and health unit coordinators. Staffing ratios during day shifts are 1 charge nurse to 5 or 6 RNs, while night shifts have a 1 charge nurse to 6 or 7 RNs ratio. The unit utilizes advanced medical remote telemetry monitoring equipment. Staff members have access to workstations on wheels for efficient documentation and patient care. The electronic medical record system used on the unit is Cerner. Candidates should demonstrate hard work, compassion, and a team-oriented approach. Individuals will thrive in a fast-paced environment. A willingness to work weekends is required, with a commitment to completing a specific number of weekend shifts each schedule. Leadership experience and charge nurse experience are preferred. Certifications such as CMSRN are encouraged but not mandatory. Unit policies and guidelines are in line with a commitment to the care and improvement of human life.
