Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Highlights:
- Neuro/Stroke PCU floor with mixed medical, respiratory, and cardiac patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
- Manage and titrate cardiac drips; care for PCU-level acuity patients in a 36-bed unit with average daily census of 30
- Epic EMR with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams
- Maximum 7 days requested time off; Spring Break blackout dates apply (April 4-12)
- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of experience
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; PCU or telemetry experience strongly preferred
- Competency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, titration of cardiac drips, and care of neuro/stroke patients
- Experience with blood product administration, central line management, IV starts and maintenance, and tracheostomy care
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at submission
- Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Availability to work major holidays per facility policy
