Shift Type: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Day), Full-time, 40 hours/week

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, family-centered pediatric primary care to patients from newborns through 18 years
  • Perform clinical support tasks as a Certified Medical Assistant in a busy pediatric clinic
  • Use OCHIN EPIC EMR to document visits, manage charts, and support care continuity
  • Communicate effectively in Spanish to engage patients and families, ensuring understanding and trust
  • Assist with age-appropriate screenings, immunizations, basic procedures and patient education
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses and behavioral health team members to coordinate care
  • Support clinic flow by rooming patients, taking vitals, and preparing exam rooms with professionalism
Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish required — ability to communicate fluently with Spanish-speaking patients and families
  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential (NHA, AMT or AAMA) — required
  • Minimum 2+ years current CMA experience in a pediatric clinic setting — required
  • Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) — required
  • Experience with pediatric populations and family-centered care — required
  • OCHIN EPIC EMR experience — highly preferred
  • Previous travel healthcare experience — preferred
  • One supervisory reference from within the past two years (signed) — required
  • Note: Facility will not consider travelers residing within 25 miles of the hospital
Education
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential via NHA, AMT, or AAMA (required)
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong pediatric clinical skills and familiarity with growth/development screening
  • Comfort and skill using OCHIN EPIC electronic medical record
  • Excellent Spanish-language communication for clinical interviews and patient education
  • Culturally sensitive care for underserved and migrant populations
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic while maintaining attention to detail
  • Team collaboration, professionalism, and strong patient advocacy
