Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active license required Certifications: BLS required, CNOR preferred Must-Have: Experience in vascular and ophthalmology. Experience with DaVinci robotic cases. General OR experience is required. Description: Position available for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. Shift is 5x8 from 07:00 to 15:30. The end date for this position is anticipated to be at the end of May or early June. Call requirement is pre-assigned by the coordinator. Full-time employees are expected to take 1-2 shifts per week. Weekend requirement includes 2-3 weekend days per 8-week schedule. Preferably seeking candidates with experience in ophthalmology (both scrubbing and circulating). Experience with DaVinci robotic cases for general surgery is highly preferred. Staffing ratio is 1:1 for all shifts with a total of 16 rooms and 16 beds. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted; candidates must have an active license to apply. RTO restrictions should ideally be no more than 5 days. Guaranteed hours are 40 per week. Special requirements include vascular and ophthalmology experience along with vascular call experience. General OR experience is essential, with CVOR and Hybrid OR experience preferred. Required surgical case experience includes endoscopic/laparoscopic, general, ophthalmology, urology, and vascular. Candidates must have specific vascular skills, general surgery skills, ophthalmology skills, and urology skills as outlined. Experience with required equipment/supplies/instrumentation is necessary. Professional knowledge and skills include administration of blood products, cardiac monitoring, infection control, laser safety, and specimen handling/labeling. Facility is a teaching and magnet hospital with a total of 173 staffed beds. Daily census is between 30-40. Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses and special procedures will vary. Travel compliance and background checks will be part of the hiring process.
