Schedule: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM with liver transplant call; includes 1 call shift per week and 2 weekend shifts (12 hours) per month
Highlights:
- Specialized transplant OR role focusing on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
- Work within a 230-bed teaching hospital with a daily OR census of 55-60 cases
- 18 state-of-the-art operating rooms utilizing Epic charting system
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
- Opportunity to work with advanced surgical technology including Misonix/CUSA equipment
- Free parking at the facility
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of direct transplant OR experience required (non-negotiable)
- Demonstrated expertise in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures – must include experience with organ implantation, not just procurement
- Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA surgical equipment required
- Active RN license in Florida (or pending transfer accepted)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of application
- NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date
- Nicotine-free status required – 10-panel drug screen plus cotinine test mandatory
- Willingness to float within scope of practice and participate in teaching activities with students and new staff
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
