Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate perioperative services to ensure safe, high-quality patient care across the OR
  • Supervise and mentor RNs, LPNs, technologists, CNAs and unit clerks — guiding performance and professional growth
  • Manage OR operations including staffing, equipment readiness, and supply availability
  • Drive performance improvement by collecting and analyzing data and implementing evidence-based changes
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary team collaboration and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiology and other stakeholders
  • Conduct interviews and participate in personnel selection to build a skilled, cohesive OR team
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation and organizational policies and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, preventive checks, troubleshooting and inventory management
  • Apply project management principles to manage OR initiatives and operational changes
  • Act as a patient advocate, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring patient-centered perioperative care
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of operating room or ambulatory surgery center experience
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and CNOR
  • Experience across specialties including robotics, ortho, urology, general surgery, GYN, neuro, ERCP and vascular
  • Previous manager or leadership experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ION/robotic systems preferred
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution and team facilitation abilities
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - required
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) - preferred
Knowledge & Skills
  • Intraoperative nursing care and perioperative workflow expertise
  • Operational coordination and surgical services management
  • Staff supervision, performance evaluation and personnel development
  • Project management and performance improvement methodologies
  • Data collection and analysis for clinical quality initiatives
  • Equipment maintenance, emergency equipment verification and inventory control
  • Regulatory and accreditation standards knowledge (medical/legal aspects of nursing)
  • Patient advocacy, privacy/confidentiality and professional nursing practice
