Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Provide comprehensive care to oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments
- Monitor patient responses, manage side effects, and intervene in complications as necessary
- Administer cancer-related medications, blood products, and supportive therapies
- Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure personalized treatment plans
- Offer emotional support and education to patients and families coping with cancer diagnoses
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in line with hospital standards
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within a specialized care setting
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact State license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years' recent oncology nursing experience
