Job Title: Obstetrics RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience as an RN License: Current RN license Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE Must-Have: Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate Description: Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit. Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care. Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills. Performs the functions of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. Responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice and evaluating the age-appropriate care of all patients in the department (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op patients). Manages supplies and equipment. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other departments. Adheres to policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Effectively communicates both in written and oral formats. Possesses computer skills.
