Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years total NICU III/IV experience. License: Must have a Registered Nurse license or compact license from permanent address state. Certifications: BLS, NRP, Basic Arrhythmia preferred. Must-Have: Must have at least 1 full year of experience in a Level IV NICU. Epic experience preferred within the last 12 months. Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, and trach/vent management required. Telemetry experience required with successful completion of a telemetry test prior to start. Familiarity with high acuity neonates and complex medical/surgical services is essential. Description: Provide care for critically ill newborns and infants. Support families across the continuum of care from admission to discharge. This unit is designed for patient-and family-centered care. Care for infants requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services. Experience is needed for management of invasive and noninvasive ventilation. Deliver quality nursing care under stressful conditions and high patient acuity. Maintain knowledge of current nursing practices and adhere to best practice standards. Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must be flexible; may float to multiple units based on staffing needs.
