The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. The RN collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift.
- Monitor patient status and report any changes promptly.
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in the medical record.
- Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered by physicians.
- Respond to patient requests and anticipate care needs.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
- Advocate for patients and ensure a positive patient care experience.
