Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required within the last 6 months Ability to float to units of equal or lesser acuity Charge experience preferred Description: Join a dynamic Ortho and Neuro Unit. Provide care for a diverse patient population including orthopedic and neurological patients. Telemetry is monitored in a centralized unit. Work collaboratively with Patient Care Technicians and Transporters. House discharge nurse available to assist across all departments. Like to keep things organized? Enjoy a free-floating charge nurse position. Promote patient safety and high-quality care in a busy environment. Experience various diagnoses such as trauma, total joint replacement, and substance withdrawal. Be prepared to follow all isolation precautions and PPE guidelines. Participate in interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy teams. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills. Must demonstrate proficiency in care management and wound care. The ideal candidate will possess skills in both orthopedic and neurological care.
