Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Experience in managing surgical and medical patients. - Ability to work with various diagnoses, including CHF, CVA, and diabetic issues. - Familiarity with equipment such as CPAP and BiPap. - Knowledge in reading telemetry strips. Description: This position involves floating between different units within a medical surgical setting. You will provide care for both surgical and medical patients. The unit has a combined total of 61 beds. Patient ratios during the day are 1:5 and at night are 1:6. The role requires participation in both weekend and holiday shifts on an alternating basis. Call or standby may be required. Nurse aides are available on the unit, with a patient care ratio of 1:15. Monitor technicians are present to assist with telemetry monitoring. You will be responsible for ensuring that daily care meets the established standards.
