Hours may include weekends and holidays based on unit needs.

The Medical-Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical conditions and orthopedic injuries or post-operative orthopedic procedures. This 13-week contract position supports a busy acute care unit and requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach.

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans

• Provide post-operative care for orthopedic patients, including joint replacements and fracture repairs

• Monitor vital signs, neurovascular status, pain levels, and mobility

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care per provider orders

• Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and use of orthopedic equipment

• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility, pain management, and discharge planning

• Collaborate with physicians, physical and occupational therapy, and interdisciplinary teams

• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record

• Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma or compact license

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Previous Med/Surg and/or Orthopedic nursing experience

• Ability to commit to a 13-week assignment
