The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. Nurse aides are available with a ratio of 1:8 or 1:10 and occasionally 1:1 for sitters. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. On-call duties will be required for low census situations. Holiday rotations will be managed with permanent staff. Scrub colors are Caribbean Blue. Telemetry services are utilized in different units. Ventilation support includes BIPAP and CPAP. OB/neonatology is available on-site. There are no dedicated IV teams, but PICC is available 24/7. Pharmacy services operate 24/7. Shifts begin at 0645 for 12 hours. Med-surg staffing may float to various areas, and ICU/ED may float as well. Common diagnoses include a variety of acute care patients. Candidates must be adaptable and demonstrate flexibility. The location has a population of approximately 80,000. It is situated near major cities, providing accessibility to various amenities and attractions.
