Job Title: RN Med-Surg Profession: Nursing Specialty: Agency Staff RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 2x3 nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med-Surg units, with a focus on surgical patients such as nephrectomy, colectomy, amputation, ostomy, and drains. License: Registered Nurse (RN) - State License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Must-Have: - Experience with negative pressure dressings, pain pumps, TPN, and Central Lines preferred. - Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program. - Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. - Time management and organizational skills. - Self-directed with the ability to make quality, independent decisions. - Analytical and strong problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and listen to others. - Competency in the use of various computer hardware and software systems. Description: Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
