This position involves caring for a diverse patient population with complex needs. Nursing support techs are available to assist with patient care. The patient ratio is 5:1. Phlebotomists and a unit secretary will be present during night shifts. An ED nurse and admitting unit will complete a nurse handoff for continuity of care. Candidates must have a strong background in trauma care and be adaptable to changing situations.
