Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgery Trauma – Georgia

Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Variable shifts as assigned; no block scheduling

Highlights:

  • High-acuity surgical trauma floor serving complex patient populations including spinal neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, and patients with spinal cord injuries
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 with robust support staff including nursing techs, phlebotomists, and night unit secretaries
  • EPIC electronic medical record system in use
  • Structured nurse handoff process between ED and admitting unit for seamless patient transitions
  • 13-week assignment in a fast-paced, critical care trauma environment

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical trauma or high-acuity specialty nursing
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts; no requested time off available during contract
