Job Title: RN Med/Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute care setting License: Active RN License Certifications: None required Must-Have: Previous med/surg nursing experience in an acute care setting Description: Travel position for RN Med/Surg. This role is for a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. The unit has a total of 46 beds and approximately 70 staff members. During the day shift, the staff includes 1 charge nurse, 1 unit secretary, 9-10 RNs, and 4 CNAs. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs, and 4 CNAs. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 during the day and 1:6 at night. The unit utilizes EMR technology. Candidates with Meditech experience will be prioritized. The ideal candidate is a team player, willing to jump in, and able to ask questions when unsure of processes. Self-scheduling is allowed within reason, with rotating weekends required.
