Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 05/18/2026 - 07/12/2026 Shift: 06:00 AM - 06:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Required Must-Have: Cerner and Epic EMR experience required Description: This position will provide support for the unit as preparations are made for the Epic go-live. Prior to the end of the assignment, unit needs will be assessed, and an extension could be offered. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test must be passed within the first week of the assignment to work on the telemetry/med-surg unit. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients and health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations. While not part of a regular call rotation, the traveler may occasionally be placed on call during low census periods. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Floating is required for any non-critical care inpatient units and may include the emergency department if there are boarded patients. The EMR system in use is Cerner. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. Passing a basic dysrhythmia test will be required to work on the telemetry/med-surg unit.
