Schedule: Night shift, 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend coverage required
Highlights:
- Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with 25 beds and average daily census of 20 patients
- Patient ratios: 1:6 days, 1:7 nights, 1:8 weekends
- Epic charting system experience required
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy
- 12-hour orientation provided upon arrival
- Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis, chest pain, and general medical conditions
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license required at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience; previous travel experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications current and in-hand
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Competency in IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
- Knowledge of stroke care, seizure management, and substance withdrawal protocols
- Ability to float to other units as needed
