The unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders. Nurses provide specialized care with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. The team values high-quality care for patients and their families suffering from a variety of lung diseases and injuries. Collaboration is key in this role, as nurses work closely with various departments, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy. This specialty requires a solid foundation in general medicine as well as expertise in respiratory skills.
