Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty, 2 years experience preferred; will consider candidates with 18 months of experience working under a higher level of professional license. License: Registered Nurse Licensure in the state or compact license Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required Must-Have: Must be willing to float to other units and facilities as required Description: This position is for a travel registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical telemetry. The unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders. Nurses provide specialized care with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. The team values high-quality care for patients and their families suffering from a variety of lung diseases and injuries. Collaboration is key in this role, as nurses work closely with various departments, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy. This specialty requires a solid foundation in general medicine as well as expertise in respiratory skills.
