Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hrs a week

Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Unit Information:
o Beds: 32
Average Census: 32
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months of Med/Tele exp
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Stroke, Seizure, AMS, generalized weakness, AKI/CKD, Falls, Cellulitis, Non-healing wounds
Patient Ratios:
o RN: Days/Nights: 1:5-6 - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)
o LPN: Days/Nights: 1:5-6 - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)
o CNA: Days/Nights 1:8-11
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
o CNA: BLS
Skills required:
o RN: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), general medical/surgical skillset
o CNA: acute care MedSurg experience
Support within the Department:
o CNA (Ratios – 1:12)
o Receptionist/HUC
o Charge nurse – free floating
o Phlebotomy, 24/7
o IV/VAT Team, 24/7
o Pharmacist dedicated to unit
o Case Manager x 2 per unit
o MedSurg Clinical Nurse Specialist
o RT 24/7 – will perform Nebulizer treatments
o Nurse Educator
o Hospitalist, 24/7
o APP support
o No remote Tele Monitoring - Unit Clerk, Charge/Clinical Supervisor and Staff are responsible to read and post every shift
Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o IV Pump: Alaris
o Med dispensing: Omnicell
o Monitors: Phillips
o Rover Communication
Floating:
o Within region and scope of practice
o Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital)
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
