Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience required License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills - Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone) - General medical/surgical skill set Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Telemetry unit. The unit consists of 32 beds with an average census of 32. Patient types include stroke, seizure, altered mental status, generalized weakness, acute kidney injury/chronic kidney disease, falls, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5-6 on days and nights, with possible surge staffing increasing ratios up to 1:7-8. Certified Nursing Assistants and other support staff will assist on the unit. Support services are available 24/7, including a phlebotomy team, IV/VAT team, dedicated pharmacist, and case managers. Experience in acute care Med/Surg for CNAs is required. The EMR system used is EPIC, with specific equipment such as Alaris IV pumps and Philips monitors. Nurses must be prepared to float as needed within the assigned region and scope of practice.
