Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Teaching and community hospital experience Description: Shift: 3x12 Nights (18:45 - 07:15) Floating required if needed to other units based on skill set. Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on needs. Medication system: Omnicell Candidates must have at least 1 year of EPIC experience. The following certifications are required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. A current RN license is mandatory. Travelers must have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty and cannot be first-time travelers. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios of 6 is desired. Charting system experience is preferred, though not mandatory. Experience in community hospital settings is preferred. Candidates must have skills in various nursing tasks, including managing ports, bariatric surgery, blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, IV management, telemetry, and total joint replacements. Unit details include interdisciplinary support from various teams such as IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The daily census is expected to be between 15-20 patients. The unit has a total of 30 beds. Staff may be required to float to other units based on census concerns. All staff must have demonstrated competencies for tasks performed in floating assignments. Modules are billable, and completion is required before starting the contract.
