Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing care quality, staffing, and resident outcomes on an assigned unit.
- Supervise LPN and CNA staff, providing clinical guidance, scheduling support, and performance feedback.
- Conduct nursing assessments, review care plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with physicians, social services, and therapy departments to facilitate integrated care delivery.
- Investigate incidents, manage clinical escalations, and maintain documentation accuracy.
- Serve as a clinical resource to unit staff and support new employee orientation.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered RN licence in Maine required.
- Minimum 2 years of LTC/SNF nursing experience; supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of CMS regulations and long-term care standards of practice.
- Effective leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
