Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing care quality, staffing, and resident outcomes on an assigned unit.
  • Supervise LPN and CNA staff, providing clinical guidance, scheduling support, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct nursing assessments, review care plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with physicians, social services, and therapy departments to facilitate integrated care delivery.
  • Investigate incidents, manage clinical escalations, and maintain documentation accuracy.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to unit staff and support new employee orientation.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered RN licence in Maine required.
  • Minimum 2 years of LTC/SNF nursing experience; supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CMS regulations and long-term care standards of practice.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
