Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Women's Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Must have a current RN license Certifications: Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications Must-Have: - 2 years recent experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor and Delivery - Experience in caring for OB/GYN patients, including post-op hysterectomy, Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum care Description: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care appropriately. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfers, discharge, referral, and addressing spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates the learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Circulates during C-sections and attends deliveries, assisting the physician as needed. Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients. Attends the neonatal station in the C-section suite and completely assesses the neonate post-delivery. Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years. Identifies necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.
