Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0700-1930 Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: Must have 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience. Post-Partum experience required. License: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Certifications: Must have BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Must-Have: - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of those solutions. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Candidates without the required certifications will be rejected.
