***Gastrointestinal Skills REQUIRED: Feeding tube care and management
***Genitourinary/Renal Skills REQUIRED: Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) & Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
***IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills REQUIRED: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management & Starting and maintaining IVs
***Medications Skills REQUIRED: Heparin Protocols, PCA, Thrombolytic Agents, Titrate Cardiac drips & Titrate Vasoactive drips
***Neurological/Psychiatric Skills REQUIRED: Aneurysms and repair, Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Intracranial bleeds, Lumbar drains, Post TPA care, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Seizure disorders, Spinal cord injury, Substance Withdrawal & Traumatic Brain injury

JOB DETAILS:
-RATIOS: 1:3-4. Avg. (Days & Nights)
-Daily Census: Unit will max at 24 patients; Rooms/Beds: 24
* "Normal population"= Intermediate population that is sub-specialized with neurological population along with medical intermediate patients.
-SHIFT: 36 and 48s can be offered.
-Unit Will Accept 13 - 26 Weeks!
-12 HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
-Float Requirement: Yes, to other intermediate areas like 6a or 5A PCTU or 5C Cardiac Intermediate along with critical care (ICU/Stepdown patients)
-Weekend Requirement: travelers will be required to work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Intermediate population that is sub-specialized with neurological population, along with medical intermediate patients.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: This patient population will be geared towards the neurological patients, along with the medical intermediate patient population.
UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS/EPIC/SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: Per Unit Needs, ****Please DO NOT try to work out RTO once on the unit****
UNIT ORIENTATION: 32 Hours, 8-hour computer class plus two shifts on the unit of orientation after initial Hospital Orientation.
SCRUBS: Any combination of navy blue and white.
