Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nursing Director to provide strategic leadership for ICU, Cardiac Specialty Unit (CSU), and Dialysis units. In this role, you will oversee clinical, operational, and fiscal performance, drive short- and long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals, and ensure compliance with clinical care standards. You will support nursing professional practice through evidence-based leadership, facilitate quality improvement, and respond to patient, physician, and staff needs in a collaborative environment. Join a dynamic team focused on clinical excellence, safety, and service in a community-based hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead managers and frontline staff across multiple units, developing and executing long-term plans, budgets, and performance strategies.

  • Monitor progress, provide direction, resolve physician/staff issues, and respond to patient/family grievances or satisfaction concerns.

  • Oversee performance improvement, policy creation/revision, regulatory readiness, disaster preparedness, and financial analysis.

  • Coach leadership on resource management, utilization, vendor relations, and change initiatives; conduct performance appraisals and staff development.

  • Facilitate shared governance, evidence-based practices, workgroups, and educational programs; participate in unit/house-wide meetings.

  • Maintain adaptability to change, build trust-based relationships, ensure patient safety/satisfaction, and communicate a compelling vision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school.

  • Current RN license in the state of practice.

  • 3+ years of experience in critical care nursing; successful completion of critical care course.

  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; CPI certification within six months of hire.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; basic computer proficiency.

  • Proven leadership in guiding teams, analyzing trends, and achieving financial/operational results.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience.

  • Additional language skills.

  • Experience in evidence-based research, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
