Shift Type: Rotating night 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule pattern 5 on / 2 off then 2 on / 5 off (negotiable) - Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced critical care nursing for adult ICU patients, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and complex life support equipment with vigilance and expertise
  • Rapidly assess and stabilize occasional pediatric patients when needed with calm competence
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families during high-stress situations
  • Document timely, accurate patient information in the electronic medical record and during handoffs
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
  • Current, active RN license required (eligible to practice in Texas)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Clinical experience in ICU or critical care settings preferred
  • Comfortable and confident providing care to adult ICU patients; pediatric exposure a plus
  • Ability to work night shifts and thrive in a rural hospital environment
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to prioritize in fast-paced scenarios
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
  • Active RN licensure required; BSN preferred where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
  • Critical care assessment and interventions
  • Adult ICU experience and familiarity with ventilator management
  • Basic pediatric critical care knowledge for occasional pediatric patients
  • Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive drips
  • IV pump management, central line care, and advanced airway support
  • Clear clinical documentation and effective interdisciplinary communication
