Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience is preferred. Experience with complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and IV medication administration. Ability to work a 48-hour per week contract is non-negotiable. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is required. Description: This position requires a qualified ICU Registered Nurse. The unit comprises complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma diagnoses. Patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. Nurses are expected to demonstrate strong critical thinking and assessment skills. Experience with cardiac care and critical interventions is preferred. There is support in the unit from nurse aides and resource nurses. Travelers may be required to float to other adult floors if necessary. Candidates should be prepared to describe a time when they exceeded expectations in a previous role. There are no RTO requests permitted during designated peak times. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests for time off, up to 7 days, to allow for a full 13-week contract.
