Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,200 to $2,300 per week in Downey, CA

Contract Length:8 weeks with option to extend
Shift: Nights – 19:00 to 07:30
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Float Requirement: Possible float to DOU, Tele, or Med Tele

We are seeking a highly skilled ICU/CCU Registered Nurse for a night-shift travel assignment. The ideal candidate is experienced in caring for high-acuity, multi-system patients in a fast-paced critical care environment. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and proficiency with advanced critical care equipment and protocols.

Hemodynamic & Critical Care Skills

• FloTrac / Vigileo monitoring

• Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias

• Multi-system organ failure management

• Arterial line management

• Titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips

• Ventilator management

• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

• BiPAP / CPAP assistance

• Interpretation of ABGs

• Hypothermia protocol / Arctic Sun

Procedures & Interventions

• Obtain 12-lead EKG

• Accessing ports

• Central & PICC line care/management

• Starting IVs

• IV insulin protocols

• Continuous IV paralytics / sedation

• Emergency medications

• Procedural sedation administration

• Suctioning (ETT, NT)

• Care of ventilated patients

Additional Skills

• Blood product administration

• Phlebotomy

• Wound care, surgical drains, wound vac

• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal

• Infection prevention & isolation precautions

• RTO must be submitted at time of application

• No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks

• Maximum 3 days RTO for the entire assignment

• Must be willing to work holidays

• Once RTO is submitted, it cannot be changed, only canceled
