Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Adult ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Level 1 trauma experience - Experience in a teaching facility with over 600 beds - Competence in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes - Ability to interpret tele strips Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in an intensive care unit. Candidates must have Level 1 trauma experience and be familiar with a high-acuity environment. The unit handles various critical conditions including sepsis, GI bleeds, DKA, lung and organ transplants, trauma cases, and more. RNs will be expected to float among all ICU areas and potentially to MedSurg/Tele units. Each nurse must be able to demonstrate competency in maintaining a sterile field during procedures. There will be a focus on bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy and dialysis catheter placements. Further responsibilities include administering and titrating drips, as well as working closely with intensivists and respiratory therapists. A strong understanding of ventilators and monitoring equipment is essential. Nurses will work a self-scheduled 12-hour shift and participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required. This position demands strong clinical skills and the ability to assess and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
