Key Responsibilities of the Travel ICU Nurse:
- Provide critical care nursing to patients with complex and life-threatening conditions
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and advanced cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications, treatments, and ventilator care as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
- Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery processes
Requirements of the Travel ICU Nurse:
- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an ICU setting
