Primary Purpose

The Registered Nurse – Resource Team provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN Clinical Nurse/RT assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The Registered Nurse – Resource Team maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.

Must be available to provide nursing services in all patient care areas of expertise and knowledge, at all elected facilities.

A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.




Major Responsibilities
  • Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
  • Analyzes the assessment data to determine the actual or potential diagnoses, problem, and issues.

    • Beds: each ICU unit has 10-20 beds
    • Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years ICU RN exp
    • Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
    Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
    • CCU - Critical Care Unit
    • MICU - Medical ICU
    • STICU - Surgical Trauma ICU
    • NICU - Neuro ICU

    Patient Ratios:
    • RN: ICU – 1:1-2; PCU – 1:3-4

    • Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule)

    • Holiday Expectations: work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day or day after + 12/24 or 12/25 + 12/31 or 1/1)
    • RTO Requests: MUST go through Manager for approval
    • Shift times: 12-hour shifts 7A-7P or 7P-7A
