Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 06:00 AM - 06:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH Certification, GRH CPI/MOAB Must-Have: - Cerner and Epic EMR experience - Ability to self-study telemetry strips - Pass a basic dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment Description: This position will provide support for the unit as it prepares for an EMR go-live. The RN in the Emergency Room is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. They provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. The RN is expected to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. This role involves coordinating care between other professional disciplines as needed. While not part of a regular call rotation, the RN may occasionally be placed on call during low census periods. If called in, the RN is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every third weekend is required. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment and must be passed to work in the Emergency Department.
