Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, Cerner EMR experience Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Triage experience is required. Candidate must have worked in an emergency department setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125 visits per day) within the past 8 months. Travel experience is required. Every other weekend and every other holiday commitment is required. Candidate must float within their skill set as needed. Description: The position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The nurse will be responsible for providing care in a fast-paced emergency department. Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills. Candidates must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Skills in phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and care of ventilated patients are essential. Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge are required. The nurse will work with patients of various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 130 patients. Candidates will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Candidates must show flexibility in meeting the demands of the emergency department. The position does not require on-call duty.
