Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Previous travel experience preferred, but open to first-time travelers. Experience in a Critical Access Hospital is a plus. Description: The RN is expected to work in both the Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical units. Shifts may have a higher focus on Medical-Surgical care, depending on patient flow. It is important to clarify shift expectations with your healthcare provider. There are no mileage restrictions for this position. The hospital uses Athena as its EMR system. Scrub colors are not standardized; you may choose your own. Patient-to-nurse ratios typically remain around 1:3 but may go up to 1:5. The staff on the floor typically consists of two nurses, one aide, and one staff secretary.
