Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with specific experience in Level II Trauma. License: Current NC or Compact license required. Certifications: Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Preferred certification is CPI (to be completed onsite if not already held). Must-Have: - Experience in a Level II Trauma setting. - Knowledge of charting in the Epic system. - Flu vaccine required, with no exemptions accepted. Description: Targeted start date of 4/21. This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The nurse will work with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Floating to an observation unit may be required. Weekend shifts will be every other weekend. Interviews will be conducted via phone. Candidates must provide a supervisory reference from the last year with submissions. Prior permanent employment with the organization must be included in the candidate's employment history if applicable. Candidates must comply with all document deadlines and must be responsive during the compliance process. The unit involves diverse patient demographics, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient visits average 237, with a total of 75 available beds. Special procedures within the unit include managing a variety of emergency medical conditions and utilizing specific medical equipment. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy.
