Job Description:

Travel ER RN needed to provide care in a Level III trauma center, ACC Chest Pain/STEMI center, and Joint Commission Acute Ready Stroke Center. Must be able to manage patients across all Emergency Severity Index (ESI) levels, with a ratio of 4-5:1 average ESI 3 patients. Responsibilities include managing stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients, triaging, and assisting with art line, central line, and chest tube placement. Expected to float to other departments as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all patients from ESI level 1-5 and maintain a 4-5:1 patient ratio.
• Perform clinical skills: PIV, NG/OG tubes, foleys, splinting, wound care, US guided IV.
• Assist with art line, central line, and chest tube placement.
• Answer call lights and transport patients, including psych patients awaiting placement.
• Float to other departments and complete EMTALA paperwork as required.

Requirements:

• 2+ years ED RN experience and 1+ year of travel experience required.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required.
• Knowledge of triage, PIV, port access/de-access, foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, splint/OCL application.
• Preferred experience with US guided IV.
