Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire) Must-Have: 2 years of experience as a nurse. At least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting. Teamwork mentality. Ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department. Description: The emergency department has 101 beds and typically maintains a patient ratio of 4:1. During peak times, the ratio may increase to 7:1 for behavioral holds. Staff includes technicians who assist in cardiac monitoring and internal processing, as well as unit clerks for day and night shifts. Key equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors. Documentation is managed through an electronic system. Scheduling requires working every other weekend, and flexibility for department needs. No floating outside of the emergency department is permitted; however, staff must be open to floating within various sections of the emergency department. Patient experience is prioritized, with an emphasis on respectful behavior and detailed communication throughout visits. Required certifications must be obtained before the start date. Preferred candidates should have experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a high-volume emergency department with over 100,000 visits annually. The department is known for its strong team environment and welcoming atmosphere. Staff enjoy serving a diverse community with numerous languages spoken. Additional equipment and technology enhancements are present in the department.
