Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Texas Gulf Coast

Start Date: February 16, 2026
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or night shift available; 12-hour shifts with shift huddles at 7am and 7pm

Highlights:
  • 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs serving low to moderate acuity patients (ESI 4-5, occasionally ESI 1-3)
  • Patient ratio of 1:4, with potential for 6 patients during lower acuity periods
  • Facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma center – be part of an exciting elevation in care
  • Collaborative team environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage, bedside RNs, ultrasound tech, and support staff
  • Meditech EMR with integrated vital signs documentation
  • Focus on timely, quality care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients with strong patient satisfaction and employee engagement metrics
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in Texas
  • Level II or Level III trauma center experience required
  • TNCC, ENPC or PALS certification required
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • CEN, TCRN, or CPI certification preferred
  • Two or more years of emergency department experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated compassion, urgency, and teamwork skills
  • Completion of EMTALA training (mandatory upon hire)
