Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures including open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
- Ensure sterile technique and proper equipment setup
- Monitor patients and anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
- Collaborate with surgical team members to deliver safe, efficient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow OR protocols
- Support post-op transfer and recovery coordination
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active RN license (Florida or eligible for licensure)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years' recent CVOR experience
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile field practices
