Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of CVOR experience required License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Open-heart surgery experience; ability to scrub Description: The CVOR Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the cardiovascular operating room. The nurse will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing heart and vascular cases. Experience with structural heart cases is preferred. The position requires weekend call shifts as part of a six-week schedule. Candidates must be able to work on call shifts, which include nights and weekends. Nurses should possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Participation in patient care planning and quality improvement initiatives is expected. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes is essential. An understanding of current best practices in cardiovascular nursing is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role. This position is suited for those who thrive in high-pressure situations and have a passion for patient advocacy.
