Job Title: Registered Nurse - CVICU Profession: RN Specialty: RN - CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Acute care facility experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Committed to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participates in E-Verify. Total bed count is 10. Staffing ratios are 2:1. Call is not required and float is not required to other assignments. Weekend coverage is required for six weekend shifts in a six-week period. Medication, phlebotomy, and transportation services are available 24 hours. Unit secretary services are available 24 hours. Intensivist coverage is available for 12 hours. Hospitalist coverage is available for 24 hours.
