Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,475 per week in Madison, WI

Schedule: Day and night shifts available (8- and 12-hour options); 0700-1930 and 1900-0730; every other weekend and some holidays required; no call
Highlights:
- Work in a 27-bed Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic ICU within a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked teaching hospital
- Care for complex cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients with 1-2 patient assignments (occasionally 3 general care patients)
- Supported by 2 Care Team Leaders, a Rapid Response Nurse, nursing assistants, and full interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Epic EMR system with robust orientation including 24 hours onboarding and comprehensive telemetry competency testing
- Dynamic unit with exposure to advanced cardiac technologies including CRRT, IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
- 24-hour orientation period with ongoing resource support from experienced charge nurses
Requirements:
- Current Wisconsin RN license or compact state license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years (required)
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with NextStage CVVH/CRRT machines (required)
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass pre-start telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Cardiothoracic Surgery or Acuity Adaptable area experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
