Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU RN – Georgia

Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2 in a 10-bed unit with average daily census of 7

Highlights:

  • Specialized cardiovascular ICU caring for complex patients including LVADs, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, temporary pacemakers, and CRRT
  • Collaborative care environment with intensivist presence Monday–Friday and daily multidisciplinary rounds at 10 am
  • Manageable patient load with free charge nurse support; titration of cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and sedation
  • Experience with post-AAA repair patients, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and critical cardiovascular interventions
  • Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
  • Contract includes comprehensive orientation with non-billable hours based on assignment length

Requirements:

  • Current Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
  • Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred
  • Full compliance required by the Tuesday prior to start date to ensure on-time orientation
  • Availability to work major holidays as scheduled (policy applies based on number of holidays during assignment period)
