Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: Experience in critical care nursing Description: We are looking for highly motivated critical care nurses. You will thrive in a very fast-paced, high acuity critical care department. This unit provides care for critically ill patients and frequently receives patients needing critical care from various regions. Though we serve patients with a variety of diagnoses, our primary service lines are cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery. Throughout recent challenges, our team has also provided ICU-level care for patients suffering from severe respiratory infections, including the need for ECMO. Unit Capacity: 15 Beds Population Served: Patients with cardiac-related diagnoses. Ages of Patients Served: Adolescent through Late Adult (14 - 60+). Nurse to Patient Ratios: Typical ratio is 1:2. The direct patient care staff consists of Registered Nurses and Patient Care Techs. BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification are required.
